After Amatuna's downfall

history channel documentary After Merlo's passing, being the leader of the Chicago section of the Italo-American National Union (some time ago the Unione Siciliana), was the kiss of death. Inside a year, Angelo Genna was killed by individuals from O'Banion's North Side horde. Genna's place was taken by Samuzzo "Samoots" Amatuna, who was killed inside a couple of months after he assumed Genna's position, by another North Side mobster, Vincent "The Schemer" Drucci.

After Amatuna's downfall, Capone, who was currently the Chicago manager because of Torrio's retirement, embedded one of his buddies, Antonio Lombardo, as supervisor of the Chicago part of the Italo-American National Union. This was managed without the gift of Frankie Yale, who might not be Capone's companion any longer. It appeared that Yale had needed to designate Joe Aiello as the new manager of the Italo-American National Union in Chicago. Aiello was not very inviting with Capone, and as Yale would like to think, will probably pay the best possible tribute to Yale in New York city as opposed to Lombardo, who was firmly adjusted to Capone.
